A First-of-its-Kind Discussion with Bloomberg Columnists
Remember that moment when you’ve just read a great column and thought, “I’d love to hear that person explore this question much, much further.” Bloomberg Beta is hosting a group of Bloomberg columnists to do just that.
Later this month, a handful of Bloomberg thinkers and writers will convene in San Francisco to try a new format of extended conversation — with a small group around one table, for more than two hours, on a single topic. We’re calling this format Bloomberg Ideas.
Our first three topics are central to the technology industry: how tech works with government in regulatory grey areas, the economics of artificial intelligence, and how well capital markets support innovation.
The columnists will meet on March 19 and 20, bringing their unique perspectives spanning technology, finance, politics, law, business, and economics. Our participants are — Leonid Bershidsky, Clive Crook, Tim Culpan, Noah Feldman, Justin Fox, Ellen Huet, Nir Kaissar, Joe Nocera, Elaine Ou, Shira Ovide, Virginia Postrel, Shuli Ren, Conor Sen, Noah Smith, and Brad Stone.
We’ll also have a handful of guests in the audience, participating here and there in the conversation. Those guests will, themselves, be people with relevant expertise and a point of view.
If you think we should consider you to attend, please fill out this form and tell us why.
